16 July 2021, New Broken Heart Oktoberfest Beer released

Today Broken Heart Spirit released its’ new and very first Oktoberfest Beer.

The Oktoberfest Beer is brewed in Queenstown, the home of Broken Heart. It is a typically stylish refreshing German Lager – the same as you would drink at the Oktoberfest in Munich.

Joerg has worked hard to perfect the recipe to create the truest likeness to an Oktoberfest lager. Something that is a beautiful amber/copper in colour, easy to drink and light on the palate, all to leave you wanting more.

Joerg wanted to stick with a process known in Germany as the Reinheitsgebot. This is commonly known as the German Purity Law which is a series of regulations limiting the ingredients in beer in Germany to just malt, hops, water and yeast.

The Oktoberfest style lager holds a special place in Joerg’s heart. It is usually only available in Germany at a certain time of the year, and it reminds him of times of celebration, so to be able to drink this year round really is the ultimate goal and reason for creating this beer.

The beer will be available for purchase online at www.brokenheartspirits.com but can also be purchased at the new Gin Garden to drink onsite or to take away in a 4 pack. The Gin Garden will be opening at the end of July in Queenstown.
