Broken Heart Original Gin has been announced the BEST New Zealand London Dry gin at the World Gin Awards 2022.

This is such a wonderful achievement but to have received this for the second consecutive year makes it all that more special.

The World Gin Awards select the very best gins in the internationally recognised gin styles and promote the world’s best gins to consumers and trade across the globe. The Taste categories are based upon the commonly held gin groupings which define the style and process of gin production. Broken Heart Original Gin is a typical London Dry style gin, hence being placed in this category.

In each country and category, in the first round, normally only 1 country winner, 1 gold, silver and bronze are being awarded. All of these are score based, and a winning product has to reach a certain threshold, but only one product will be named Country Winner, if the required score is achieved. On the basis of this strict criteria, here at Broken Heart we are even more thrilled to be named the Country Winner for New Zealand.

In the next two rounds, all Country Winners now have the chance to become the World’s Best in their Category, which will be announced on the 24^th February 2022. Fingers crossed and watch this space……….
